Feb. 5: 10 am

On this last day of holiday before school starts we took advantage of the opportunity to sleep in. Therefore, breakfast was still being created at 10 am:

Eggs, Potato Pancakes, and French Press Coffee from an Ataturk Mug...fantastic.

Feb. 4: Stranger or More Strange?

The guys at the table surely haven't seen a "stranger" outfit than this guy's.

But Seriously...

Your friendly, local Ice Cream man. Who wouldn't smile when you work in an ice cream shop?

From the archives: Another local Alanya artist, a gourd lady.

Feb. 3: Hands

My hands have been pretty busy lately with my newest winter time activity. With no Tv and only free podcasts to entertain I have taken up crocheting to keep my hands busy. This will be a basket some day.

Erin also suggested that I add something from the archives that fits the topic if I have one. This is a picture of our hands after our Henna night party in Turkey.

February 2: Words...

Erin was busy crafting away on her couch and it perfectly lent itself to today's topic.

If you're wondering the link above is to Erin's newest blog endeavor.

A New Challenge

My lovely wife found this on the internet and I think I am going to do it.

So here is my post of a view we saw today.

I'm Back!!!

Today some pictures from recent events. Not following with the theme of the blog but at least I'm posting something again.

I haven't forgotten, but this time of year is busy!!!

So this time in a teacher's life always proves to be a busy time. As the school year ends events fill the daylight hours and your hobbies and side projects take a back seat. Mine has too, I haven't rolled the dice in two weeks!

But I do have a post for pictures I took while watching last week's Presidential Cycling Tour finish here in Turkey. I love this sport in spite of it's doping scandals. In fact I had trouble being a photographer since I was so busy being a fan. Later you will see that Erin had to take over for me.

Cutest race watching buddy ever.

The Astana Team races by.

The Peleton blurs by. Cycling is a great sport to photograph because the jerseys offer such interesting colors.

The final sprint. The winner of the day is closest to us. Erin should be proud to have taken this shot. I was too busy cheering to hold the camera.

Events like this always bring out such interesting characters. This will be my new 'stache style for the upcoming nuptials.
